SERVICE FOR: James Carrol Allen
We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2024 we had to say goodbye to James Carroll Allen of Morristown, Tennessee. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Teddy and Nellie Grace Winter Allen; his siblings, Neil Allen, Jane Allen Bowers and Mary Ann Allen Dearstone (Ted Dearstone); and his parents-in-law, Richard and Nancy Disney Neas. He is survived by : his wife Sally Neas Allen; his daughters, Angelia Allen Woody (David Woody) and Amelia Allen Keesee (Brian Perry); his grandchildren, Rachel Woody (Brennan Babb), Laura Woody, Nolan Keesee and Caroline Keesee; his sister Linda Allen Fullen (Gary Fullen); his siblings-in-law, Mildred Holt Allen, Jeanne Cutshaw and Pete Bowers; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Allen (Doris Allen), Leslie Allen (April Allen), Billy Bowers (Dawn Bowers), Steven Fullen (Kim Fullen), Andrea Fullen Bender (Mark Bender) and Holly Cutshaw Coakley (Jeff Coakley). Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (2435 West Andrew Johnson Hwy., Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (812 E Broadway Blvd, Jefferson City, TN 37760). His contributions to the community and his love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him..

SERVICE FOR: Pastor Robert Schefter
Pastor Robert (Bob) Schefter, a member of Good Shepherd, died in Christ last week. His service will be held this Friday, July 12, 2024 at 6:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Jefferson City. A light reception will follow, and those attending are welcome to bring food items such as finger sandwiches and cookies to contribute. We keep Geri and all their family in prayer, even as we commend Pr. Bob to God for safekeeping until the Day of Resurrection. Rest eternal grant him, Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him.

SERVICE FOR: Linda Wetzel
Linda Wetzel, a former member of Good Shepherd and the sister of Ann Conklin, died in Christ this week. A brief graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Hamblen Memory Gardens. A luncheon will follow shortly after, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, at Good Shepherd. We keep Ann and Theron, and all of Linda’s family, in prayer, even as we commend her to God for safekeeping until the Day of Resurrection. Rest eternal grant her, Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her.
